National fishing licence

Every angler over the age of 16 years is obliged to purchase the National Fishing Licence. It can be purchased from every Post Office in Norway or from this web site.

Registration of catch

When you buy your fishing permit for the first time, you will also have to pay a deposit of NOK 200 for a Catch Registration Card. This card is valid for the entire season, and can be used for all zones. At the end of the season, and by 1th October at the latest, you should deliver the card to one of the fishing permit sales outlets, and your deposit will be returned. This Catch Registration Card is a very important document for those who are involved in the management of the river system.
